Yeah, I've used the L9i in different applications over the years, including a S4 Mini Classic build that my friend still uses to this day. I know in hardcore benchmarking the L9i can potentially get crushed (think like MCE tech to max) but I have yet to see real-world use cases crumble. My...
I'm putting together a Dan A4 build to reduce some weight when I'm traveling. I have a few different cooling options available to me right now, including the Asetek 645LT, an NH-L9i, and a IS-47K.
Noctua recently released a fan ducting kit (nice foam) for the NH-L9i/L9a to be ducted to the...
Stumbled across this... impressed! I'm looking for multi-240mm enclosures since I sold my Manta (and subsequently want another one, however they're not longer sold...). Inspired, however I have HWLabs GTS240's so I don't think this'll work...
Got any more updates on that Node 202? Lately I've been using mine since it is the best for portability (not the smallest, but since it's cheap and the outside is a nice plastic, I throw it into my bags that things like that with little care). Just upgraded from a 7700T (using a Big Shuriken 2 +...
I have a Node 202 that I use for my "portable" build when I go visit family (I hate trying to game on laptops). Custom loop in a 202 is probably going to be a waste of time. There's some videos on YT from a few people trying to do it, but with the limited space and rarity of the parts that would...
Pretty much decided to perform some swapping and surgery on my S4 Mini Classic. Gone is the ASUS Z270i Strix and the EVGA GTX 1060 SC... and in goes a EVGA Z270 Stinger and a MSI RX580 8G V1! I also ended up swapping out my Intel 9260 with a Broadcom A1466, and now my S4 Mini Classic is...
For one, it's good that it runs hot, so you can make chocolate chip cookies in that Easy Bake Oven! ;)
You're overworking that 92mm cooler. Unfortunately, I think it's the end of the road for those fans... try this--Mount a 92mm fan externally (get a fan protector) at the 92mm port (reuse one...
I bought a PC-O6S, love seeing the 5 or the 7 in different builds! I hope my dream of using a Threadripper and a Vega 64 is cool-able by a 320mm radiator though... Not so SFF since Threadripper is at best mATX, but oh well :)
Just finished swapping out an EVGA Stinger Z270 and swapping in an ASUS Maximus Impact VIII. No longer need a USB 3.0 extension to fit in the MI-6! The little ball o' cables (PSU) is still in the same spot (don't see anything really letting me get rid of it).
Personally I'd also take a trade for only 2 SATA slots with the +1 M.2 slot (similar to the ASUS X470 ITX offering). The Type-C port combined with the superior WiFi/BT card has me in the ASRock camp with this one, though.
I recently rebuilt my NCASE M1 build. Figured I'd share, since I want to be more involved in this community!
A little history--
Imgur-ing the "Old Build":
I bought my NCASE M1 a while ago. I had fallen in love with this thing, as did almost everyone did in the SFF community. I went with...
