Stalled Winter One -- 15.6L SFF case, 3090 Support, 3-slot GPUs, dual 280mm radiators, CFD Optimized Design

Been a while since I last visited this thread. Any consensus on a good pump/res combo? Last time I checked, the borrow cpu/pump block was not compatible. Are there any other good options out there?

What version of the case is shipping? I placed my order during the first batch. I haven't been able to keep up with updates here due to real life stuff so I am not sure what has changed.

So I happened to get my hands on a 3090 strix. Any chance it could squeeze in? Dimension are 318mm vs the case's 315mm GPU clearance. If not I can just return it and get the tuf version which is shorter.

I am interested in this for the side panels as well.

There is another option. If your card is short enough, which most reference cards are, you can use a 120mm res/pump combo with the pump bracket (assuming you do not need a drive cage). This is what I am planning on doing. Most reference cards with a waterblock will be under 250mm which leaves...

I wondered the same thing and after looking it over, it will not fit, or it will be very tight. To be safe it is recommended to go with the Aquanaut block instead.

@WinterCharm Is it possible to modify your order? I wanted to also get the drive cage but forgot to include it.

@WinterCharm Congratulation! I am so happy this project is a success, not just because I will be getting one, but also I am just happy to see your hard work paying off. Now to save up for the rest of the pc build.

If the worse happens and the kickstarter fails, I rather you relaunch at a later period when the situation has improved, rather than taking a huge financial hit and funding it yourself. I am personally in no rush and with the current situation it might not be smart to take such a risk. I...

I can't wait to see that pump bracket. This case keeps getting better, and it is not even out yet! Also good news on the GPU side, the new AMD cards are actually smaller than the NVIDIAs so that will be perfect for this case.

I'll be honest I was kind of surprised with the price. I expected it to be higher, though not like 350$ is cheap hah. I am still hoping for a white version, though I would not be upset if i settled for the silver. A white case with white fittings and a pair of white GTS 280s sounds lovely.

I see, thank you! I just placed my order. I wont be able to build a new system until some time next year, so I will just be getting the case for now.

Agree 100%. Best to go with a reference design and use a more "standard" pump/res combo. This will also give you more radiator space to play with.

The 3080 reference board seems to be aroun 220mm in length, which should leave plenty of room for a pump on the bracket. I imagine RDNA2 will be around the same size, maybe even smaller. https://www.overclock.net/threads/watercooling-ampere-the-rtx-30-series.1773924/#post-28648548
