I'd like to thank everyone for your help. I've completed my SM580 build and am quite pleased. Both with the looks as well as the thermals. I've kept overclocking to a minimum as seen below: 9900ks running 5GHZ all core turbo, unlimited short and long duration power limits EVGA RTX 2080 Ti...

What are peoples thoughts on the best way to orient the x62 fans and radiator on my SM580 case? The options are: Fan on top of radiator, pulling air through radiator and out of case (exhaust) Fan on top of radiator, pushing air into radiator and into the case (intake) Fan below radiator...

That would drive me crazy. From what I gather, the Astek pump on the 645 can not be controlled, and always spins at 100%. Luckily the pump on their rebranded Corsair and Kraken units can be controlled.

If you mean a 140mm version of the NF-A12x25, there already is a NF-A14x25. Did you mean a 140mm version of the high static pressure NF-F12? That would be great news!

The Noctua NF-A14, assuming I can set the can curve to 500 rpm. Or the redux

True. I was planning on putting good fans on the 280mm. I think that would re-widen the gap.

I appreciate the advice. While a 240mm rad is an option, I would prefer the headroom a 280mm rad will give, especially as it relates to overclock. If I were to downsize to a 240mm aio, I may as well consider downsizing to an m1 case. I understand the X62 fits? Its seems to be a fine cooler...

The noise issue is unfortunately consistent with what I have read on the internet. Have you tried blowing the air into the case? I was planning on having two vented panels. Perhaps interior temps wouldn't get too bad? Unfortunately I was planning on using an 9700k or even a 9900k so hadn't...

I've been lurking on this forum, finally ready to pull the trigger on an SM580. I have a couple of questions. Am I correct in my reading of this thread that the sm580 will accommodate the Corsair H115i Hydro if I mount the fans on top of the radiator? I've never mounted radiator fans in a...
