I was referring to the X299 mATX motherboard.
Gigabyte have released the X399 Designare EX which is the only AMD board with Thunderbolt support.
However, Gigabyte have since pulled it from their specifications pending certification...

p.s. the forum member on [H] who seemed adamant that he knew better about case design than you and dondan regarding space efficiency and the market for this product XDXDXD
The specifications suggest it shares bandwidth with one of the pcie expansion slots that run in x8.
So only a concern if you intend on running a dual GPU configuration.

I have to agree with a lot of those on here and would prefer there be compatibility for larger AIOs.
55mm seems excessive but the large majority of Asetek designs by Corsair/NZXT/etc. could then be used.
