Just some heads up on the included PCIe riser - I've been having on and off issues where nvlddmkm.sys fails upon system wake. Was happening once every few days. It stopped when I swapped to PCI 3.0 setting on BIOS. Issue crops up when it's set to 'auto' or PCI 4.0. Clean driver installs didn't...
Mine's pulling air as intake, dual 140mm, 30mm thick rads. there's basically no clearance for the slim fan and it's getting pushed in a little by the core assembly.
If I add washers to the bottom to prevent blades from hitting the rad, the fan gets pushed against the core assembly even more, so...
Anyone know what's the total thickness of a Noctua 120mm > 140mm adapter with a 120mm slim fan? Just about done with the Arctic slims, looking for an alternative.
Yup, I was referring to the Arctic slim 140s. They're really horrible. If I even nudge my desk while it's at 60%, it descends into wobble madness and eventually the blades get stuck in the rad fins.
I hope an alternative crops up soon. Preferably this...
IDK how you're managing to fit stock SX-1000 cables in there - i'm resorting to doing 90 degree bends at the base of the cables to prevent it hitting the fan blades and stuffing the resulting mess into the GPU side. unfortunately that also means i don't have space to mount 92mm fans on the GPU...
word of warning for anyone thinking of doing dual 30mm rads with arctic P14s - the P14s are thicker than your usual fans by about 2mm, so the combination doesn't work. I never realised they were thicker. I've gotta go get 25mm thick 140mm fans now...
