It now looks like even the world’s largest manufacturer of electrical components is after a piece of the high-end mini-ITX motherboard market. Foxconn has posted a new product on their website, the H67S, a mini-ITX motherboard for the Intel Sandy Bridge platform. This board marks Foxconn’s first direct attempt at a gaming capable mini-ITX platform. Aside from a few apparent misprints on the website, like the one that indicates that the H67S supports 4 DIMMs and 16 GB of memory, Foxconn’s newest mini-ITX motherboard seems to come up a bit wanting in the light of other Sandy Bridge ITX options. …

With CES 2011 just around the corner, motherboard manufacturers are continuing to tease us with information on their new Sandy Bridge LGA1155 products. Zotac has recently joined the ranks of those manufacturers with photos of their upcoming mini-ITX H67-based motherboard, the H67-ITX WiFi. Details of the new ECS mini ITX gaming motherboard have begun to surface. Their outgoing model, the H55H-I, was voted “Best for Mini-ITX Gaming” by Tom’s Hardware and offered great performance at rock bottom pricing. A winning combination that ECS is sure to carry over to the new H67H2-I. A couple of weeks ago we mentioned that Gigabyte was working on a follow up to their highly successful GA-H55N-USB3 mini-ITX motherboard. The details of the new LGA1155 board are just starting to trickle out, including this photo posted on a Swedish website, and it appears that the new Sandy Bridge mini-ITX board from Gigabyte will be known as the GA-H67N-USB3. Gigabyte’s new GA-H67N-USB3 looks very similar to its LGA1156 predecessor. With any mini-ITX motherboard that is suitable for gaming, you can count on them to have the same basic features as far as CPU support, connectivity and a PCI Express x16 expansion slot.
