Hi everyone,
I created this thread to question others about GPU possibility with stunning Chopin case ;)
I've just finish my PC building with Inwin Chopin and no free space inside. Since i want to play game with this, it has to be connected with GPU (of course) via PCIe. I found 2 way to insert my GPU here by PCIe cable.
1) Replace the build-in PSU of Inwin chopin to another one which can afford power for PCIe connector (75W maximum), purchase GPU with <75w consumption like 1050Ti
2) keep the origin PSU, buy a new PSU for my GPU.
But I got a question here after bought 160W dynamo mini.
i don't really sure that if i use Dynamo to power GPU (Solution 2), i can upgrade to higher GPU like 1060 or 1080 which consume >100W. Since Dynamo mini is 160W, there is any possibility that it can deliver all the power to GPU when performing as 2nd PSU (no other connection, GPU direct).
Thank you.

ITX-sized 1050Ti does not require external PCI power connection, it is all thru the PCIe slot...
Yes but it still drain power through PCI port. The build-in PSU of Chopin is 150W 80+ Bronze (84%) efficiency, so we have 120w more or less and it is unsuitable for GPU.

Depends on your cpu and the rest of the peripherals. If your cpu takes ~70w or so and you've got only ssds, I don't see that dynamo even breaking a sweat when your motherboard drains 75w down the pcie slot.

It depends on the fan noise you are willing to tolerate. For the Chopin, the obvious sweet spot is the i5-8400. i7-8700T being less noisy and upwards the 8400 model you‘re getting higher temperatures/ more fan noise. With the 8400 also being the cheapest. So 8400 would probably be your best bet if you don‘t know which one to choose.

I have already bought CPU.i am confusing about using dynamo as a 2nd psu. Is it enough power for 1080 when power it individually?

PSU efficiency isn't calculated that way, it's the efficiency of taking the wall AC current and changing it to DC. So a 150W PSU, would actually be pulling 150/XX% where XX is the efficiency percentage. A 150W PSU can deliver 150W. Better 80+ ratings, means it'll generate less heat to convert AC to DC current.
